Auma is 27 years old and she was born in Lira in Northern Uganda. Her main language is Lungi, but she also knows some English. Almost all the people living in her village of origin,  Alebtong,  were killed by the LRA in an assault led by Joseph Kony. Auma came in 2012 to Kampala, and she worked in the stone quarry until she joined the foundation 22STARS in May 2015 and learned to make jewellery.. Auma has 1 child and also takes care of her younger sister on her own because her husband left her and her parents died from HIV when she was 18 years old.
She is happy because thanks to 22STARS she can see a future again for herself, her sister and her child.
