Our Autumn/Winter collection 2013-2014 is called BORN AS A STAR. This refers to our Ugandan designers as well as to you. We are all stars and deserve to shine! To reach the stars let our designs be inspired by three core themes: Nostalgia, Energy and Love.
Nostalgia refers to the traditional long pearl necklace. We love its simplicity that has the potential for a long-lasting success. Coco Chanel, Princess Diana and Audrey Hepburn already knew the power of pearls! Also, from the success of the Great Gatsby we have learned that all women should wear pearls. Our pearls are made from 100% recycled paper: they are light in weight, comfortable, waterproof and thank their colour to the shades of the paper that has been used. The necklaces are timeless and can be worn in many different ways! We love to knot them, wear them twice around the neck, as bracelet and mix them together.
Energy refers to the impact colour has in our lives. Energy is what we get from our designers and what we want to pass on to you. To do this, we make use of many colours. We took inspiration from the vivid colours of Emilio Pucci. We advise you about when to wear which colour, and let you customize your jewellery with various charms to make it exclusively yours. We love the motivational charms that transfer you into action.
Love is an incentive for positive change. It is the only true thing we all need. Love is the answer to everything. For our collection we chose soft colours such as rosy brown, coral red, mint, crème, and pure white. Pearls are already femine and romantic by themselves. But you can add among others charms, such as hearts, stars and texts about love to your jewellery.
Do you love the latest fashion trends and do you want to steal the show at the upcoming Christmas party? Then combine as many necklaces and bracelets as you want. The bigger the better! Make a statement, steal the attention and fascinate the mind. Don’t stop before you have reached the stars!

The location for our BORN AS A STAR photoshoot has been chosen very carefully to emphasize the chic atmosphere of our jewellery: The International Club in the Hague. An informal social club which offers internationals (expats), their families and friends the opportunity to expand their social circle, enjoy their activities and give attention to personal development. The beautiful building, in which the International Club is located, retains its status as one in which civil marriages may officially take place. Others who have done this include: the former Queen Juliana, Princess Margriet and most recently, Prince Constantijn.
Our team that day consisted of: photographer Joost Van Manen, model Lianne Schulte, model Annika Schippers, styling and dresses: Pearl Dronkers, make-up and hair artist: Anna Wojnarowska and photoshoot manager: Stella Airoldi. Together they realised a fantastic shoot on this dream location.
