Masika Dorika is 14 years old and the third child of our artisan Susan. Susan got her first child when she was only 13 years old herself and had to flew from the war in Northern Uganda to Kampala. Susan is teaching both her daughters how to give back to their community and she is so happy that – thanks to the donors who are paying the school fees of her girls – they can go to school. When I asked Masika what she would like to become when she is older, she told me that she wants to finish her Educations so that she can become a member of the parliament so that she can fight against corruption in her country and community.
